STATE REQUIREMENTS QUESTIONS

What are the Continuing Education requirements?

GEORGIA
All active appraisers must complete 14 hours of Board-approved continuing education during each annual renewal period. In every two consecutive renewal periods, every appraiser must complete an AQB approved 7-hour USPAP Update Course (the 15-hour USPAP Course does not count as a substitute). A renewal period begins one year prior to the current renewal due date which is the last day of your birth month. There is NO Grace Period if your due date falls on a weekend or holiday.

ALABAMA
Real Estate Appraisers are required to take 28 hours of continuing education (CE) by September 30 of every odd ending year per renewal period (2 years). 7 hours of the 28 required hours of continuing education must be the National USPAP course or its equivalent.

Are there any specific courses required?

Yes, the 7-hour USPAP Update Course is required every other year.

COURSE AND REGISTRATION QUESTIONS

Are the courses approved for credit?

Yes, all of our courses are approved for credit.

What is the cost of the course(s) and what methods of payment are accepted?

The cost of each course is located in the course catalog. You may pay using all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express).

What is your refund policy?

ONLINE CONTINUING EDUCATION COURSE FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. Please contact Georgia MLS Training Institute at 770-493-9000 if you have a question.

How do I get a username and password? What do I use it for? What should I do if I forget it?
During the registration process, you select your own username and password. It should be something that you can easily remember. You will use the same username and password each time you log in to access your course(s). This information is entered in the “Returning Students” section on the home page of the website. If you forget your username and password, you can either email support@fastclass.com or call 1-866-455-3278.

Can I take the course from various locations and computers?

Our courses are set up for students to access their courses from any computer that is compatible.

How does a course work?

You take the course at your own pace and on your own time. You can take the course in small increments or all at once. If you exit out of the course and then log back in at a later time, you start back on the page where you left off.

How long will it take me to complete a course?

Each course has been approved for a specific number of hours. Depending on the pace you review the course; it may take you less or more time to complete the course.

How long do I have access to the course?

You have access to the course for up to six months from the date of purchase. Your course must be completed within 180 days from the date of purchase. However, if you need an extension please contact Georgia MLS Training Institute at 770-493-9000.

Can I use the course for review when I'm done?

Your course is available for review for 180 days from the date of purchase.

Can I print any of the course material for future reference?

No. The course is entirely online, so you are unable to print any course materials.

Who do I contact if I have questions about the courses?

COURSE COMPLETION QUESTIONS

What is required to complete the course?

GEORGIA
Review and complete the online course content. Upon completion of the course and after the Student Survey, a “Student Affidavit” will display on your screen. In order to receive credit for the course, Georgia MLS Training Institute must be able to verify that you acknowledged the “Student Affidavit” that appears on the last page of the course.

ALABAMA
Review and complete the online course content and pass the quizzes with a score of 70% or better.

How do I receive my course completion certificate?

GEORGIA
You will not receive a completion certificate.

ALABAMA
Upon completion of the course, you may print your Certificate of Completion.


How do my hours get submitted for CE credit?

GEORGIA
Georgia MLS Training Institute will electronically submit your continuing education credit to the Georgia Real Estate Appraisers Board within two business days from the date it was received. You will not receive a certificate. Contact the GREAB to verify receipt of your hours by calling 404-656-3916 between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM Monday through Friday, or visit their website at www.grec.state.ga.us.

ALABAMA
Your continuing education hours will be submitted by the Georgia MLS Training Institute. In addition, you are required to submit your continuing education credit form along with your renewal application.

I'm taking a 2010-2011 USPAP course and it will not let me open with the browser I'm currently using.

2010-2011 USPAP courses are only compatible with Internet Explorer versions 7 or 8. Please make sure you are using the Internet Explorer browser when attempting to view the course.
